The 3D CAD CAM brace is a conservative treatment option for scoliosis. Using 3D body scanning technology, our ABC Certified Orthotist uses the on-site Hey Clinic brace fabrication lab to create custom, light-weight Rigo-Cheneau style braces.
The 3D CAD CAM brace addresses not only the Cobb angle of a curve, but also the rotation of the spine by applying pressure to certain areas of the spine, while also having expansion areas to allow for de-rotating and corrective forces.
3D CAD CAM Brace Fabrication Process
- A scan, measurements, and photos are taken to create a 3D CAD CAM design based on curve presentation and necessary applied forces, using Rigo-Cheneau brace principles.
